Promega Recognized with Diversity and Inclusion Award from Wisconsin Society for Human Resource Management

Promega has been selected as the 2024 recipient of the Diversity and Inclusion Award from the Wisconsin Society of Human Resource Management (WI SHRM). The award is given to a company or organization that demonstrates organizational achievements in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Promega was selected from a field of fourteen nominations by a committee of human resources professionals from across the state of Wisconsin and was presented at the award at the WI SHRM State Conference.

The award committee evaluated each nominee on its workforce diversity, intentional actions to ensure employees have the same opportunity to do their best work, and intentional behaviors that involve all employees in a meaningful way. Additionally, they sought to recognize an organization that prioritizes belonging – ensuring employees may bring their authentic selves to work, have their voices heard, and feel valued.
Examples of Promega practices referenced by the award committee include:
- Embedding DEI principles as a competency in position descriptions, performance management and career grids
- Prioritizing Emotional and Social Intelligence (ESI) to support employees’ growth and wellbeing
- Matching employee donations to non-profit organizations supporting DEI initiatives
