The Maxwell® RSC Enviro Nanotrap® A TNA Kit includes reagents and consumables to concentrate and purify total nucleic acid (TNA) from wastewater samples. Our protocol allows concentration of viral particles* from 10ml of wastewater sample using Ceres Nanotrap® Microbiome A particles, followed by purification of total nucleic acids from the captured viral particles, which is performed by the Maxwell® RSC or Maxwell® RSC 48 Instrument. The Maxwell® Instruments allow walk-away automation that is fast and reliable. This approach to nucleic acid purification achieves high yields with consistent recovery. The total nucleic acid extracted using the Maxwell® RSC Enviro Nanotrap® A TNA Kit can be analyzed for SARS-CoV-2 targets using a SARS-CoV-2 RT-qPCR kit for wastewater, respiratory targets or other viral targets.
